Description | Chlordiazepoxide EP impurity B (CAS No: 5958-24-7) or 2-(Chloromethyl)-6-chloro-4-phenylquinazoline 3-Oxide is an impurity during the synthesis of Chlordiazepoxide. They find their principal use as antianxiety agents. Chlordiazepoxide has sedative, appetite-increasing, and low analgesic actions. It attaches to benzodiazepine receptors at the GABA-A ligand-gated chloride channel complex and increases GABA's inhibitory effects. |
