Description | Chlordiazepoxide EP Impurity C (CAS No: 719-59-5) or 2-Amino-5-chlorophenyl)phenylmethanone; 2-Amino-5-chlorobenzylphenone is an adulteration formed during the synthesis of Chlordiazepoxide. Chlordiazepoxide is an anxiolytic long-acting benzodiazepine. It is used as a medication for adults with mild to severe anxiety disorder, pre-operative apprehension, and withdrawal symptoms of alcohol use disorder. It is also evaluated for the treatment of catatonia. |
