Description | Cimetidine EP Impurity B (CAS No: 138035-55-9) or Methyl 3-cyano-1-[2-[[(5-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl]sulfanyl]ethyl]-carbamimidate is a Methoxy Analog of Cimetidine. Cimetidine lowers the blood flow in the liver and the systemic clearance of drugs like propranolol which are highly extracted by the liver. Cimetidine is an H2-receptor antagonist and has depicted the ability to enhance a variety of immunologic functions both in vivo and in vitro due to its inhibitory effects on suppressor-cell |
