Description | Cimetidine EP Impurity F (CAS No: 55272-86-1) or Cimetidine Bis Impurity is adulteration in Cimetidine. Cimetidine is an H2-receptor antagonist. It is known to elevate a variety of immunologic functions both in vivo and in vitro due to its inhibitory effects on suppressor-cell function. The ability of cimetidine to block histamine stimulated acid secretion is due to its antagonistic effect at H2 receptors of parietal cells. |
