Description | Cinacalcet N Oxide Impurity (CAS No: 1229224-94-5) or (R)-N-(1-(Naphthalen-1-yl)ethyl)-3-(3-(trifluoromethyl) phenyl)propan-1-amine N-oxide is an amine adulteration compound of Cinacalcet. The cinacalcet acts on the calcium-sensing receptor to elevate its sensitivity to calcium and therefore lowers the parathyroid hormone (PTH) secretion. Cinacalcet impedes circulating PTH levels by raising the sensitivity of the CaR to extracellular calcium. |
