Description | Clarithromycin EP Impurity F (CAS No: 128940-83-0) or 12-O-Methyl Clarithromycin is a chemical modification of Erythromycin. Erythromycin has a similar effect as that of gastrointestinal polypeptide motilin on gastrointestinal motility. It works by binding to motilin receptors and acts as a motilin agonist. Erythromycin has clinical application in patients with disturbed gastroduodenal motility like in diabetic gastroparesis. |
