Description | Enalapril EP Impurity A or (R,S,S)-Enalapril HCl / Enalapril HCl (1R)-Isomer (CAS No.76420-74-1) or (S)-1-((S)-2-(((R)-1-ethoxy-1-oxo-4-phenylbutan-2-yl)amino)propanoyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid hydrochloride. Enalapril is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed after absorption to form the active angiotensin-converting enzyme Enalaprilat. It is administered orally. It decreases blood pressure by lowering peripheral resistance without increasing heart rate. It is well tolerated and safe. |
