Description | Enalapril EP Impurity E or Enalapril Phenylethyl Ester Analog or ((S)-1-oxo-1-phenethoxy-4-phenylbutan-2-yl)-L-alanyl-L-proline. Enalapril is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed after absorption to form the active angiotensin-converting enzyme Enalaprilat. It is administered orally. It decreases blood pressure by lowering peripheral resistance without increasing heart rate. It is well tolerated and safe. |
