Metamizole (dipyrone) is an analgesic, non-opioid drug, commonly utilized in human and veterinary medicine. It is an analgesic antipyretic and spasmolytic agent. It acts by inhibition of a central cyclooxygenase-3 and activation of the opioidergic system and cannabinoid system. |
